Deck Shipping Update + Holiday Card for Late Gifts

Deck Shipping Update + Holiday Card for Late Gifts

Dear supporters of The Story Engine Deck,

First, I'd like to thank you for your incredible patience as we navigate the many hurdles 2020 has thrown at us and try to get all Kickstarter pledges, preorders, and orders shipped as quickly as possible.

Despite COVID shutdowns, port closures, and one near-shipwrecking of our cargo, we have shipped over a thousand decks since October and continue to ship hundreds every week with fulfillment partners in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Some of the regions are already complete, while others are facing longer delays. See the shipping page for more info.

We are doing our best to get as many decks as possible shipped by December 25, but we know that with the double whammy of our shipping partners being being overwhelmed and parcel carriers experiencing unprecedented demand and delays, many orders won't make it to their recipients in time for gift-giving.

I can't tell you how sorry I am that we didn't make the shipping timelines we set, and that it could affect your holiday plans.

I know nothing can replace the experience of giving someone the perfect holiday gift and seeing their reaction as they open it, but for those of you whose parcels will be arriving late, I wanted to create something you could hand a gift recipient to make sure the day is still special.

Below are two holiday cards I designed to let people know that you bought them a gift to nurture their love of storytelling, and that the delays are 100% on the team behind The Story Engine Deck and its fulfilment.

One version of the card is designed to give to writers, and another is designed for tabletop RPG players and DMs.

I hope these will bring some joy on December 25 if your deck doesn't make it by then. In the meantime, if you have any requests or need information, get in touch via the contact page and I will get back to you ASAP.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: my #1 priority is getting everyone their decks as quickly as possible, and I am unspeakably grateful for your patience and support as we work to get every deck shipped.
